Terms & Conditions

These terms explain how booking tours, experiences, and packages with Bahrain Travellers works, including prices, payment, cancellations and refunds, your responsibilities as a traveller, and our respective rights and obligations. Please read them before you book.

1. Who We Are

"Bahrain Travellers" is the public brand and trading name of "Bahrain Travellers & Consulting", operated by E&C for Visitor Services and Assistance W.L.L., a company licensed in the Kingdom of Bahrain (referred to in these terms as "we", "us", or "our"). We are a first-party tour operator: we design and sell our own cruise shore excursions, guided day tours and experiences, and multi-day vacation packages in Bahrain. We also offer business and investment consulting services.

These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings for our tours, experiences, and packages made through our website at https://bahraintravellers.com, by WhatsApp, by email, or by any other channel we operate. By making a booking, or by paying a deposit or the full price, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms on behalf of yourself and everyone in your party. Our website and these terms are available in English, Arabic, and Italian; if there is any conflict between translations, the English version prevails.

2. Bookings & Confirmation

You can book online through our website checkout, or via WhatsApp at +973 32106126 while our online checkout is being fully rolled out. When you request a booking you must give us accurate details, including the lead traveller's full name, contact information, the number of participants, and any relevant requirements such as mobility needs, dietary restrictions, or health conditions that may affect participation.

A booking is only confirmed once we have received cleared payment (or the agreed deposit) and have issued you a written confirmation or voucher by email or WhatsApp. A request for a booking, an unpaid hold, or items left in an online cart do not constitute a confirmed booking. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any booking before confirmation, for example where a tour is sold out, where a price was published in error, or where we reasonably believe the booking is fraudulent or breaches these terms. If we decline a booking after you have paid, we will refund the amount you paid in full.

The person making the booking (the "lead traveller") must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for the whole party, including ensuring that all members have read these terms. Travellers under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult on the tour.

3. Prices

All prices are quoted and charged in Bahraini Dinar (BHD) unless we state otherwise in writing. The price for your tour, experience, or package is the price shown at the time of booking and set out in your confirmation. Prices include the services described in the relevant tour listing and exclude anything not expressly listed, such as personal expenses, gratuities, travel to and from the meeting point, optional add-ons, and travel insurance.

We take care to display prices accurately, but listings may occasionally contain errors. Where a price is clearly incorrect (for example, an obvious typo), we are not obliged to provide the tour at that price; we will contact you to offer the correct price or a full refund of anything you have paid. Promotional rates, seasonal offers, and group discounts apply only while they are advertised and subject to any stated conditions, and cannot be combined unless we say so. Any applicable government taxes or fees are included in the displayed price unless noted otherwise.

4. Payment & Vouchers

Online payments are processed securely through our payment provider, Tap Payments, which supports KNET/Benefit, mada, major credit and debit cards, and Apple Pay. We do not see, handle, or store your raw card details; these are processed directly by Tap Payments and the relevant banks under their own security standards. Where you book by WhatsApp, we will send you a secure payment link or instructions to complete payment through the same provider.

Once payment is confirmed we will issue an electronic voucher or booking confirmation. You must present this voucher (printed or on your phone), together with valid photo identification, at the meeting point. Vouchers are valid only for the specific tour, date, and time stated, are non-transferable unless we agree in writing, and have no cash value. If you cannot locate your voucher, please contact us before your tour so we can verify your booking.

Any bank charges, currency-conversion fees, or transaction fees applied by your card issuer, bank, or the payment provider are your responsibility and are separate from the tour price. Such transaction fees are generally non-refundable, including where a booking is later cancelled or refunded.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

If you need to cancel, our standard policy is as follows: cancel more than 48 hours before the scheduled start time for a free cancellation and a 100% refund; cancel between 48 and 24 hours before the start time for a 50% refund; cancellations within 24 hours of the start time, and no-shows, are non-refundable. In every case, non-refundable transaction and payment-processing fees are excluded from the amount refunded.

Some tours, experiences, and multi-day packages may carry different cancellation terms because of supplier, accommodation, or third-party booking conditions. Where this is the case, the specific terms will be shown on the tour listing and in your confirmation, and those terms take priority over the standard policy above for that booking.

To cancel, contact us by email at info@bahraintravellers.com or by WhatsApp at +973 32106126; a cancellation takes effect from the time we receive your request. Approved refunds are made to the original payment method through Tap Payments and may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer. If we cancel a tour for any reason within our control, you will be offered a full refund or, where possible, an alternative date or comparable tour of equal value.

6. Changes by Us

Our tours run rain or shine, and you should come prepared for the weather. However, for reasons of safety we may shorten, alter, or reschedule a tour where conditions such as extreme heat, storms, or sea conditions make it unsafe to proceed. Where a tour cannot safely go ahead at all, we will offer you an alternative date or a refund in line with the cancellation section above.

From time to time we may need to adjust an itinerary, route, meeting point, guide, or timing because of public holidays, prayer times, site or attraction closures, traffic, operational requirements, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will keep any changes to a minimum and aim to deliver an experience of comparable quality and value, and we will let you know in advance wherever practical.

If a significant change materially reduces the value of your tour and we cannot offer a reasonable alternative, you may cancel the affected booking and receive a refund for that booking. Minor changes do not entitle you to a refund.

7. Your Responsibilities as a Traveller

Please arrive at the meeting point ready to start at least a few minutes before the scheduled time. As tours operate on a fixed schedule, often shared with other guests and, for shore excursions, with cruise ship timings, arriving more than 15 minutes late may mean we cannot wait for you and you may forfeit the tour with no refund. For cruise shore excursions, you are responsible for returning to your ship on time; while we plan our timings carefully, we are not responsible for independent travel arrangements outside our tours.

You must carry valid photo identification (such as a passport or national ID) where required and comply with all local laws, site rules, and the reasonable instructions of your guide. Where a tour includes a visit to a mosque or other religious site, modest dress is required: shoulders and knees should be covered, and headscarves may be required for women; we can advise on specific requirements when you book. Please behave respectfully toward your guide, other guests, local residents, sites, and wildlife.

You are responsible for assessing whether a tour is suitable for your health and fitness, and for telling us in advance about any medical conditions, mobility limitations, pregnancy, or other needs. Certain activities have specific requirements; for example, horse-riding experiences are subject to a maximum rider weight limit and other safety conditions, which we will confirm at booking. We may refuse participation, without refund, where a traveller is, in our reasonable judgement, unfit to take part safely, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or behaving in a way that endangers or disrupts others.

8. Group Bookings & Discounts

We welcome group bookings and may offer group discounts for larger parties; the available rates, minimum group sizes, and any conditions will be confirmed in writing when you enquire. To request a group booking or a tailored package, please contact us by email or WhatsApp with your group size, preferred dates, and requirements.

For group and private bookings, the lead traveller is responsible for coordinating the party, providing accurate participant numbers and details, and ensuring full payment by any agreed deadline. Group bookings may be subject to separate deposit, balance, and cancellation terms, which we will set out in your written confirmation and which take priority over the standard cancellation policy for that booking.

9. Liability & Insurance

We provide our tours with reasonable skill and care and in line with the standards expected of a professional tour operator in Bahrain. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it cannot be limited or excluded under the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud.

Subject to the above, we are not liable for loss, damage, injury, delay, or additional expense that arises from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, from your own acts or omissions (such as failing to follow safety instructions or arriving late), or from independent services not provided by us. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any booking is limited to the price you paid us for that booking, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as missed flights, missed cruise departures, or lost enjoyment beyond the tour itself.

We strongly recommend that all travellers hold comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident, and personal belongings, and appropriate to the activities you have chosen. You participate in physical or adventure activities at your own risk and may be asked to sign an activity-specific waiver before taking part. You are responsible for your personal belongings throughout the tour.

10. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for any failure or delay in performing our obligations that is caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These may include severe weather, natural disasters, fire, flood, epidemic or pandemic, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, government action or travel restrictions, border or port closures, cruise line schedule changes, utility or transport failures, and similar events.

Where such an event prevents, restricts, or delays a tour, we will do what we reasonably can to offer you an alternative date or a comparable experience. Where this is not possible, we will handle refunds fairly and in line with the cancellation section above, recognising that costs already paid to third-party suppliers may not be recoverable.

11. Intellectual Property & Privacy

All content on our website and in our materials, including text, photographs, logos, itineraries, branding, and design, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content for commercial purposes without our written permission. The names "Bahrain Travellers" and "Bahrain Travellers & Consulting" and our logos are our trading marks.

We handle your personal data in accordance with the Bahrain Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 30 of 2018) and, for visitors in the EU/EEA, with reference to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Full details of how we collect, use, store, and protect your information, and your rights over it, are set out in our Privacy Policy. By taking part in a tour you agree we may take photographs or video for our own promotional use; please tell your guide in advance if you do not wish to appear, and we will respect that request.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms & Conditions, and any booking made under them, are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The courts of the Kingdom of Bahrain have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or relating to your booking or these terms.

If something goes wrong, please contact us first so we have the chance to put it right; we genuinely want every guest to have a good experience and most concerns can be resolved quickly and directly. We may update these terms from time to time, and the version in force at the date of your booking applies to that booking.
